These Terms of Service govern your use of Manoe, an AI friendship companion app. By downloading or using Manoe, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Manoe is an AI friendship companion app developed and operated by an independent developer based in Istanbul, Turkey. References to "we," "us," or "our" in these terms refer to the developer of Manoe. References to "you" or "your" refer to you as a user of the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Manoe. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using Manoe, you confirm that you meet these age requirements.
Manoe is available worldwide except where prohibited by local law. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the app complies with the laws of your country or region.
Manoe creates an anonymous account for you automatically on first launch. No registration is required. You may optionally link an email address to your account to protect access to your data.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits, access restrictions, or other service limitations. We reserve the right to terminate accounts used in this way.
Manoe is an AI friendship companion app. Manoer characters are fictional beings whose responses are generated by artificial intelligence. They are designed to be engaging, warm, and consistent companions — but they are not real people.
Manoer responses do not constitute professional advice of any kind — including medical, psychological, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Do not rely on Manoe for decisions that require professional judgment.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or emergency services in your country. Manoe is not a substitute for human connection, professional care, or emergency support.
Manoers are AI characters with designed personalities and limitations. They are not sentient. They do not have feelings. The emotional responses they express are generated text, not genuine emotion. We encourage you to enjoy your Manoer while maintaining a clear and healthy understanding of what they are.
You agree to use Manoe only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not harm others or the service. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
Manoe uses a credit system to manage access to features. Credits are consumed when you send messages, use voice input (speech-to-text), or use voice output (text-to-speech).

Exact credit limits and pricing are displayed in the app and may be updated from time to time. Monthly credits reset on the first day of each calendar month and do not carry over. Bonus credits purchased separately do not expire until used.
When your credits are exhausted, features requiring credits will be unavailable until the next reset or until you purchase additional credits or upgrade your plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store or Google Play settings on your device.
All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. By making a purchase, you agree to their respective terms of service and payment policies.
Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.
Purchased bonus credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unconsumed bonus credits may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase — contact us at hello@manoe.app.
If a free trial is offered for a subscription plan, it is available once per Apple ID or Google account. After the trial period ends, you will be charged the regular subscription fee unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We do not control refund decisions made by these platforms. For refund requests, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.
All content, characters, design, code, and world-building in Manoe — including the Manoer characters, Planet Manoe lore, the Manoe name and brand, and all related materials — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on our content.
You may not use the Manoe name, Manoer characters, or Planet Manoe world-building in any commercial context without our written permission.
You retain ownership of the messages and content you submit to Manoe. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the service — including transmitting it to AI systems that generate responses.
You are responsible for the content you submit. You must not submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
We do not claim ownership of your conversations. Conversation data is stored to provide continuity across sessions and may be used in anonymised, aggregated form to improve the service.
Manoe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content generated by Manoer AI characters. AI-generated responses may be incorrect, outdated, or inappropriate. You use the service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — Manoe, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You may stop using Manoe at any time. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us at hello@manoe.app.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Manoe at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your license to use the app ends immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Manoe shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. The effective date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last revised.
Your continued use of Manoe after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the app.
